MSSA Welcomes Rachael Scarbrough

MSSA is thrilled to welcome Rachael Scarbrough as the new Marketing and Membership Engagement Manager. Rachael will pick up where Annie left off as she moves into the role of Executive Director. Focusing on member engagement, social media, and digital and print marketing, Rachael will use her creative mindset and relationship development talents to further MSSA’s goal to support its members and grow the association in a positive and impactful way.

Rachael earned her degree in Public Relations and minored in Visual Art and Graphic Design. Her professional career has taken her creativity and love for events and logistics primarily into the non-profit and educational fields, focusing on program management and development. In her first move out of college, she worked for her hometown church in Memphis, volunteering and then moving into multiple roles in bookkeeping, accounting, and children’s programming and events. During that time, she established annual fundraising and social events, recruited and managed volunteers, and managed marketing and outreach efforts within the community. She has continuously been successful in the development and implementation of strategic planning for enrollment and member growth; focusing on social media outreach and branded marketing materials to establish and promote consistent engagement. In her most recent position at St. Mary’s Episcopal School, Rachael used her resourcefulness, programming experience, and love for the community to collaborate with local businesses to establish new programs and secure revenue growth for the department and school. Rachael has a passion for events and the logistics, strategy, and management that goes into them. From small at-home parties to events for over 100 families, Rachael puts her individuality, enthusiasm, and attention to detail in full effect to make sure the vision is achieved and attendees feel safe, welcomed, and engaged from beginning to end.

When Rachael isn’t working, you can find her solo traveling around the world, going to Grizzlies games, walking around an art museum, or finding the next best spot to grab some coffee. She finds joy in the little details of everyday routines as well as spontaneous adventures.

"I am very excited to be joining the MSSA family.  I love the mission behind the association and the passion that every member has for this industry.  While I'm new in the sign industry, I appreciate the creativity, hard work, and dedication that I already sense within this community.  I am ready to take on this new opportunity and hope that I can be a valuable addition to MSSA.  I am eagerly looking forward to learning from each of you and hope to meet soon at upcoming events.  In the meantime, I will be continuing my calls and emails to our members to introduce myself, but feel free to reach out at any time."
