I am so grateful for this organization and this scholarship opportunity. I am excited to start my college journey at Auburn University, where I have been selected to be a member of the on TigerEyes Danceline for halftime shows. I plan to use this scholarship money to help with the financial burden of my pursuit to study kinesiology and exercise science to become a physical therapist. It is an exciting time as I start my college journey. This is a blessing to me and my family.

First I would like to thank all of you for what you do to help rising collage students. It means a lot to me personally because I am unable to fully afford things like housing and tuition. Scholarships like this one have made it possible. I'm sorry that I will not be able to attend the awards ceremony as I will be attending Naval ROTC NSI in preparation for my freshman year. I again want to thank MSSA for helping make my college experience less stressful.. This is truly a wonderful thing MSSA does for rising college freshman!

I am honored to be a recipient of the Steve Metheny scholarship again this year. This award has allowed me to continue my pursuit of a degree at the University of Alabama where I will begin my Junior year in the fall. I am also an active member of my fraternity, Pi Kappa Phi, and serve as Rush Chair. I’ve enjoyed learning more and more about the sign industry, and I find it very interesting. With this scholarship I will be able to focus on my career path. I’m thankful to you all for this opportunity.
